5th Annual February Fitness Frenzy
Let’s get up and go! Get ready to take teamwork to a whole new level and make a positive impact on you, your residents and your community. In February 2019, the One Eighty Foundation and the Leisure Care home office will join forces with the communities to raise $40,000 for children and families.
The 5th Annual February Fitness Frenzy, benefiting the One Eighty Foundation, is inspired by Leisure Care’s Chairman & CEO Dan Madsen’s commitment of giving back to the communities in which we live, work and play.
Fitness Frenzy fulfills the company’s three-thirds lifestyle of family, philanthropy and work.
Create a meaningful opportunity to give back
Promote a healthy lifestyle for staff and residents
Let’s Get ACTIVE!
The challenge will run from February 1-28, 2019. The goal is to have staff and residents raise money by getting at least 30 minutes of activity per day within and outside of the community. There are numerous ways for everyone to get active during the February Fitness Frenzy. The cool thing about this challenge is that your team can define which activities to include in this event.
Walking, Swimming, Dancing, Biking, Wii Bowling, NU Step, Yoga, Balance Builders, Wii Fit, Personal Training, Prime Fit, Gym Time, or Rocking in a Chair, the activities are endless!
Funds will be raised by taking pledges at a rate of $.05 per minute. Who can pledge? Family members pledging for residents. Residents pledging for residents. Staff members pledging for residents. Residents pledging for staff members. Let’s ask everyone to reach out to all of their family and friends. Pledges can either be for total active minutes or a flat amount.
Here is an example of the break down of how $.05 goes a long way!
30 minutes = $1.50 per day
210 minutes = $10.50 per week
840 minutes = $42 for the month (28 days)
Let’s Talk Money
The goal is for each Leisure Care community to raise a minimum of $1,000 to benefit the One Eighty Foundation. If your team happens to be a bunch of overachievers and raises over $1,000 or more, that’s a beautiful thing as there is then more in it for your community.
Thanks to everyone for your support. Let’s get active and make a difference in our communities!
